Mission/Giving Statement: The goals of the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists are to promote excellence and creativity in the clay arts, and to further their understanding and appreciation throughout New Mexico. To support these goals, they foster educational programs, arrange exhibition opportunities, and provide a communication forum for the exchange of ideas, information and inspiration.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

Bill Armstrong Grant: The Bill Armstrong Grant was established in memory of a late, distinguished member, and in the spirit of his own pursuits. The annual grant supports organizations and projects which further education and experiences in clay arts.

Type of Funding/Funding Restrictions: The annual award is a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $1000, to be determined by the Board, based upon individual needs. Proposals for lesser amounts would also be welcome for consideration. Funds may be used for purchasing supplies or equipment, contracting with a visiting artist, marketing/publicizing a special program or project or other activities directly related to ceramic art education. Individuals, 501(c)(3) organizations and educational institutions located in New Mexico are eligible to apply.
