Mission/Giving Statement: HIP's mission is to strengthen Latino communities by increasing resources for the Latino and Latin American civil sector; by increasing Latino participation and leadership throughout the field of philanthropy; and to foster policy change to enhance equity and inclusiveness.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

Funders' Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities and focused initiatives, including the Latino Age Wave Initiative and the Latino Men and Boys Initiative, provide capacity-building grants to small-to medium-sized Latino non-profits. "Small-to medium-sized" is defined as any organization with less than $2 million in annual operating budget. 

Type of Funding/Funding Restrictions: HIP will fund organizations that are Latino-led, meaning a majority of board members are Latino; a majority of the organization's senior leadership is Latino; The organization's executive director is Latino; a majority of the people being served are Latino; or the mission of the organization specifically targets Hispanics or Latinos. See website for more details. The Latino-serving non-profits also must have an annual operative budget of under $2 million.
