Learning Lab: Fundraising System Gap Analysis

Nonprofits are under enormous pressure to purchase costly and complex donor management software, but often this sizeable investment adds little value to bottom-line fundraising. This session reveals the four components of a fundraising system (spoiler alert –only one involves a database) and introduces a useful framework for assessing needs and selecting the highest-impact investments. Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the role of the donor database as one of the components within a robust, integrated fundraising system.
• Take home a practical framework for assessing current performance and identifying the highest impact improvements.
• Learn from the experience of peers and presenter practical tips that bridge the gap between current and ideal fundraising system functionality

Presenter:  Joanna Joslyn’s workshops combine perspective-shifting, high-level overviews with nuts-and-bolts examples so that each participant leaves armed with actionable tips and tricks and ready-to-use templates as well as a deeper understanding of the integrated nature of fundraising systems. She brings to her work as a consultant over 20 years of nonprofit experience across a diversity of industries, budget sizes, and fundraising structures.
