How to Be More Strategic with Your Strategic Plan

Registration is closed for this event

Is your strategic plan an organizational guide or a document that sits on the shelf?  Do you have a strategic plan or a long To Do list?  Learn about what makes an intentional and effective plan.  Learn and practice three remedies for the most common problems: jumbled ideas; disconnected tactics; over-reliance on the group brainstorm; and the laundry list plan that never gets implemented.

You are expected to come prepared with an example of a strategic plan or report to work on during the training.  By the end, you will be able to:
- Create more effective planning processes
- Identify your core strategic approach for one or more areas in your organization
- Develop a visual that communicates a core strategic approach

Learning Objectives
- Identify why strategic plans aren’t more strategic
- Understand how to overcome the barriers to strategic thinking in the planning process
- Comprehend how simple visuals communicate strategy more powerfully than narrative
