Presented by Dr. Sara Ann Mason, LANL Data Analyst

Organized by a Los Alamos National Laboratory data analyst with expertise in quantifying and evaluating organizational performance, the Data 101 Workshop series will provide a practical, hands-on introduction to collecting data to understand and improve your organization’s performance. From identifying the data you need to putting it to use, whether in a spreadsheet or a grant application, this series will provide the concepts and tools you need to get started with data analysis, no matter your skill level. The program is made possible by a Community Technical Assistance agreement between Groundworks and the Los Alamos National Laboratory Community Partnerships Office that allows LANL employees to give their time and talent to nonprofit activities that benefit the region.

Audience: Executive LeadershipProgram Managers, Nonprofit Staff & Board Members looking to increase data management skills.

Dr. Sara Ann Mason is a data analyst in LANL’s Environment, Safety, Health, and Quality Program Office specializing in operational data analysis and business process optimization. She has a PhD in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (2019) where she taught classroom Spanish for 5 years and studied language processing in bilingual people. As a teacher, she enjoys making technical topics relatable to everyone. As a behavioral scientist, she enjoys helping her colleagues find ways to collect and analyze data on harder to measure aspects of the workplace environment and culture.
