Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Executive Director oversees day-to-day operations; supervises staff and contractors; oversees the development, marketing, and implementation of programs and services to schools, districts, and other governmental agencies in New Mexico and the greater Southwest; educates policy makers about critical issues facing community schools; mobilizes stakeholders in support of public policy priorities; and cultivates relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Additionally, the Executive Director plays an important leadership role for the community school movement in New Mexico and throughout the United States, advocating for supportive policies and systems that enable community schools to fully implement the community school strategy. To that end, the Executive Director embodies the spirit of “collaborative leadership, shared power, and voice” and actively practices collaborative leadership in all aspects of the work.
