Tanya Kallan is a Program Associate for Groundworks NM. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Tanya has lived in New Mexico all her life, residing in both urban and rural locations. She is happy to be a part of the Groundworks team assisting in bringing high quality workshops and training opportunities to members of the social sector.
Volunteering has consistently been an important part of Tanya’s life. Her positions have ranged from teaching basic internet skills in rural, underserved populations to being a zoo docent at the Albuquerque BioPark. She currently volunteers teaching applied positive psychology courses designed to help improve individual wellbeing and develop a sense of community among remote members.
Tanya has extensive business experience and is currently completing her master’s degree in Adult Learning and Professional Development in the Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences program at the University of New Mexico. This degree has furthered her capabilities in the design, implementation, and evaluation of adult continuing education programs.
